i went for a walk with anna, she took the dogs out to an off leash park. the weather was mild and the sun was shining, the puppies were happy and so were we.

my brother made a movie. it is a seven minute documentary film, completed in five days for the hot docs international documentary challenge. i am the only person outside the crew to have seen it so far. it is a work of art.

sorry about the lack of lovely lately, but this time i have a legitimate reason. we department of finance clippers only really work twice a year: the budget, and the fiscal update. for both of those events we take a forty-eight to seventy-two hour break from living, and do nothing but monitor various sources of news.

but i’m back now. you may rejoice.

today’s bit of happy is my brand new travel mug. it allows me to do two things. first, it gives me a way to transport a full cup of coffee from my wonderful coffee machine (which will be it’s own lovely some day soon). and second, it lets me cross another thing off my list of things to do and get.

tonight i was stressed, and couldn’t sleep. so i went out on my balcony and looked out at the city, and thought about how lucky i am. now i am going to wish my family and friends a good night, kiss my wonderful kitten on his conehead, and go lie down and go to sleep in my bed.
